Jessie Mae Estrada is the owner, operator and lead therapist at Mariposa Eating Recovery. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. She obtained her Master's degree in Counseling (2005) and her Bachelor's degree in Psychology (2003) - both from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has been practicing therapy since 2006. She has a passion for working with the eating disorder population and has pursued it throughout her career. She started her private practice in 2014 with a focus on the outpatient treatment of eating disorders and expanded to a group practice in 2020.
She is a founding board member for the iaedp San Antonio Chapter, serving as the current Co-Marketing Chair (2024-2025) and previously as the Social Media Chair (2020-2023). The iaedp San Antonio Chapter focuses on spreading awareness, knowledge and education about eating disorders to both professionals and members of our community.

Chelsea Ball-Uranga is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She obtained her Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio (2006) and her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Texas Lutheran University. She has a passion for empowering individuals to create change in their own lives through awareness, knowledge, insight and understanding. She started her counseling career working with at-risk youth and their families before transitioning into her work with eating disorders in 2015. She has been providing therapy services at Mariposa Eating Recovery since 2020 in addition to running her own private practice.

Lauren hudgens, MS, LPC-Associate
Lauren Hudgens is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Elizabeth Bright, LPC-S, CEDS. She obtained her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2018 at the University of St. Thomas (Houston), and her Bachelor's degree in English Literature with a minor in Communications in 2009 at the University of Houston. She has been providing therapy services at Mariposa Eating Recovery since 2024, while also working as a Victim Advocate at the University of Texas at San Antonio. As a former 8th and 9th grade English teacher, she especially enjoys working with adolescents and young adults.
